Goals:

Recent developments in modern enterprise organization put a heavy demand on information technology. Comprehensive knowledge management in general and a powerful organizational memory in particular are needed to ensure both the flexibility and the coherence of a lean, decentralized, and continously learning organization. The Knowledge Management research group willl contribute to a general architecture and methodology for organizational memories by developing methods and formalizations with well-defined characteristics and well-understood applicabilities.
